The five volume TIMS Student Texts, 1000 pages in total, provide an in-depth coverage of a broad range of both analog and digital experiments. Included is supporting theoretical information, detailed experimental instructions and challenging questions. Each chapter also includes a tutorial section.
TIMS-Interactives™ are a suite of programs designed to enhance the student's learning of telecommunications principles using the industry standard MATLAB™ math applications software alongside the TIMS hardware modeling system. TIMS-Interactives™ programs combine the equations, text and graphs encountered in traditional telecommunications text books and bring these elements together in a dynamic, user controllable, multi-window environment.
With the increased processing power of personal computers, students are no longer limited to only viewing their signals in the time domain, on a basic oscilloscope. PC-based multi-instruments are now available which are both affordable and have outstanding performance. EMONA TIMS offers two options for such PC-based instrumentation with wide bandwidth oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer displays, as well as true RMS digital voltmeter and frequency counter functions. Both options incorporate the powerful PicoScope 3204A virtual instrument. The 3204A is available stand-alone or built-into the TIMS-301C PC-Enabled Learning System.
